OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T now getting August Security Patch and few OnePlus 7 Pro features with latest updates

OnePlus is rolling out the latest Oxygen OS update for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. The update adds the August Security patch and the Fnatic mode from OnePlus 7 Pro.

• One plus has been doing a great job of delivering the latest software updates on its existing models. Last week, OnePlus raised a few eyebrows by releasing the latest August Security patch to the OnePlus 7 Pro even before the Pixel phones from Google got it. Soon after, the OnePlus 7 also received the update, thereby keeping the security freaks happy. However, OnePlus doesn't forget its older models and now it is rolling out the update to last year's OnePlus 6 series phones.
  The OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are receiving the latest Oxygen OS update, bringing the latest Android security patch with them. The Oxygen OS 9.0.16 update for the OnePlus 6T and Oxygen OS 9.0.8 for OnePlus 6 are bringing the August Security Patch to these 2018 phones just after a week the OnePlus 7 series phones received.
  However, the August Security Patch is just the beginning of this mega update. OnePlus is releasing some of the OnePlus 7 Pro's features to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. The major one among the list is the Fnatic mode that will be happy news for gamers. The Fnatic Mode was introduced with the OnePlus 7 Pro and it offers a dedicated gaming mode to silence any distraction during gaming as well as boost up the performance by clearing the RAM and keeping background at bay from eating system resources.
  Apart from the Fnatic Mode, the Zen Mode which came in with the last update gets some new features. The DC Dimming feature which was introduced on the OnePlus 7 series is now available on the OnePlus 6 series phones. With DC Dimming, users will be able to reduce the flicker when viewing the screen in dark ambience. The DC Dimming feature can be found under the OnePlus Laboratory section.
• The Quick Reply feature has also been added to these phones. With Quick Reply, users will able to chat without leaving a game or YouTube video. The Hidden Space now gets password settings.
  Apart from new features, the latest update also fixes a couple of bugs such as apps failing to respond and other general bug fixes. OnePlus has also optimised the Pocket Mode.
  These Oxygen OS updates to the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are being rolled out incrementally and it could be a few days before it reaches you. The update can be downloaded via OTA and it's suggested that a Wi-Fi connection should be used.
